What's happening at Europa Imports?

We are in the midst of a big change! Why, after 7 yrs. in business are we making big changes? Until now, the shop known as Ooh La La! Decor & More has been successful in becoming well known within the Helotes community and surrounding areas. The shop has maintained a certain degree of success selling antiques, home decor, collectibles, jewelry and sundries, but there is change in the air. Helotes is growing. It is not the sleepy little town it was 10 plus yrs. ago when I arrived. Old Town has built up and Market Days has gown. We have The Highland games, and Cajun Fest, Cornyval, The Jazz festival etc. etc. More and more people are coming to the northwest corridor.

With the changes in mind, I felt like it was also time for the shop to change and grow along with our city. (It's not just a town now, folks, Helotes is a real city) Though we have always been the largest Antique/Gift shop in Helotes, at nearly 4,000 sq. feet, I felt like it was time for us to grow-up along with our surroundings and become a bit more sophisticated and cosmopolitan.

"Ooh La La! Decor & More always held great surprises for its customers. The once dilapidated hardware store always shocked those who ventured in with its sophisticated merchandise, unique art. and unusual decorator items to suit all budgets. Those pleasant surprises wont change, and neither will the friendly faces of the vendors that help in the shop and take care of my fabulous customers, many of whom have become great friends to myself and the vendors alike.

What WILL change is

1.Our name- The new name leaves no guessing as to what's inside. "Europa Imports, Fine Antiques " pretty much says it all. I will be importing most of my inventory from Europe and sharing containers with the Van Hoofs. Of course as items sell, I will also be picking-up great items and trading locally as needed to maintain our eclectic collection between shipments. 2. Our building- new paint and color scheme, and landscaping is in the works. 3. Our inventory- Some vendors have downsized, but will be selling more of what they sell best and less of what they don't. Shipment size will then double but will still be fine quality antiques to fit every budget, from rustics to baroque! 4. The boutique - It is now gone and the front room will be a shipping office on one side and the other half leased by Texas Medium, offering psychic readings in elegant surroundings by appointment only.

What WONT change

1. The friendly faces that work the shop. Me, Lela, Valerie, and Chantelle will still be regularly assisting our customers. 2. Our location and Phone number- Still at 13439 Bandera.& 210-695-2001.

3. Our commitment to providing the northwest San Antonio area with quality antique furniture, unique objects d'art and select giftware and collectibles.

Thanks everyone for their support over the last 7 plus years and for baring with us during this transition. Now, watch us grow!
